This September, our nation and our world has been devastated yet again by natural disaster. In the past couple of weeks, Hurricane Harvey zipped through Houston, Texas, while Hurricane Jose roared through Puerto Rico. Hurricane Irma is projected to hit the state of Florida today and race through the Eastern shore board. But wait, that's not all. We have been told here in Atlanta to get prepared for a storm like no other as Irma is heading for us too. Life, in my opinion, is like a hurricane. You're unsure of how the tides will turn and what the winds may bring. Life and hurricanes are one in the same. There's really only one thing you can do to "prepare," and that is LIVE! Live a life of good, live a life of accomplishment, live a life of trial and error. As life hits you hard, you may feel devastated for a while, but you can and must rebuild after the storm. Do not let bad relationships, loss of a job, death of family members or friends, financial hardships or any other unpleasant storm kill your joy because we still have life to live after it passes. Here's what I did in preparation for Irma and to show my life who's really in control:
