Welcome to Port au Prince, Haiti 🇭🇹 Today was day one of my missions trip that I have worked extremely hard to make happen. First things first, thank you to all of you that supported my dream. It means everything to me to know that there are so many of you that love me and are truly inspired by what I do.
The people on my frontier projects team are absolutely beautiful people. They are soulful and loving; true epitome of blessed people. Just being in their presence makes me feel... safe and protected.
The city of carrefour is... impoverished to say the least, but the people have my utmost respect. They are strong and resilient despite their circumstances. Regardless of the dirt and lack of electricity, the city is bustling. Everybody here is a hustler and where I'm from, that's not a bad thing. Everybody is so hard working and diligent. I'm not sure about you all, but I'm sure I do not have the strength to carry large items on my head and I'm barely able to withstand the heat.
The Haitian people are amazing thus far and are gorgeous. Their skin is deep and their eyes show a desire for more. I love it here already and as I begin the mission, I'm positive that I will fall madly in love with the culture.
