Today, despite my spider bite and stomach cramps, was a good day. Another medical clinic in Cavaillon was successful. It’s exciting to see so many people in need, get help! We distributed shoes and clothes to the children at VBS today and it was completely unorganized, but joyous overall! They were so excited to try on new shoes! They yelled and screamed and enjoyed themselves.
OJ took me, Mariettta, Ariel and Ronald to explore the village. We stopped at the print shop and then to get fried shrimp and fish with plaintains. There’s nothing like a good on the street spot to get food. Ziaa hates that I love ghetto chicken spots! Sheesh, kind of miss her! Overall, I didn’t do much today, but it was a good day. I’m starting to feel really comfortable and trying to learn the language. That, alone, is a good thing.
